I Must Understand
Dec 29th, 2009 by Clare
It is no secret that I love reading. I read anything interesting - novels, books, magazines, newspaper articles, columns, comics, dictionaries (you got a problem with that?), signs, notices, blogs, quotes on people’s shirt/pants, menus, bumper stickers, Facebook status updates, etc.
Last weekend, I saw this interesting book when I was browsing through local books at the MPH Bookstore. I did not buy it because I did not have its membership card. I went to Popular Bookstore just now and I saw the same book hiding somewhere at the bottom of the display shelf.
The Budget: How the Government is spending OUR money
This will be one of my new year’s resolutions - to understand finance/budget/anything that involves money. I realized that I am one of those ignorant people out there who do not understand much about the budget. Or rather, I am better than a lot of ignorant people out there who fall asleep in the midst of a budget discussion (Their motto: “Don’t know. Don’t care. Don’t want to know.“). This book might not paint a perfect picture of the budget but at least I can understand the gist of it.
Why want to strain your brain? Relax lah! Don’t worry, be happy!
Because it involves you and me and everyone else. And it affects you and me and everyone else in one way or another, whether you like it or not. Also to understand how you and me and everyone else will be anally screwed
Unless, of course, you like being anally screwed which I am sure a lot of people do, especially those ignorant people who fall asleep in the midst of a budget discussion.
All these financial/budget talk is making me hungry. Now where shall I go for my kolo mee/laksa/popiah…

if wan to understand, join ptd (pegawai tadbir diplomatik).
we do budget all the time.
I only want to get the gist of it.
After you’ve read, explain to me, ya? Only those parts where I can untung one! Rest, I don’t care! LOL!!!
Psst…actually I am looking for those part also
Hehehehe!!!
