Shepherd’s Pie

I know this post is long overdue, way too long that I have forgotten about it until I saw the pictures in chipmunk’s CF card.
I made Shepherd’s Pie for Christmas 2 months ago - beef and chicken (chipmunk does not like to eat beef). My first time. Even when I voiced my intention to make both, sour grapes people suddenly turned into food critics/experts and quickly concluded that beef would taste better. Well, I had the same thought as well.
I don’t think I have to show the picture of both pies because they looked the same, on the surface.
It looked pretty fine to me and smelt nice too. But I was skeptical about the taste because I did not have milk powder for the potato layer so I foresaw a creamy potato layer. I was right. But due to lack of an ingredient, well, I think it was okay.
The beef one looked fine. I do not dare to put up the picture of the chicken one because in a way, it looked kinda obscene (read: might attract the wrong crowd.) (re-read: kpenyu

Anyway, they both tasted really nice! 
Both the potato and beef/chicken layers tasted really delicious. The taste was just right. I think I will make shepherd’s pie again some time in the future, when I’m free
PS: Now I’m really hungry
