Old Skool Tag From Bongkersz
Oct 5th, 2008 by Clare
Bongkersz didn’t tag me but I just want to do this tag because I read Bongkersz’s tag with great interest, that boy guy very adventurous when he was young!
5 bad habits when you were in your school days
- Talk active! (talkative lah!) I remember the teacher wrote “Seorang budak yang suka bercakap dalam kelas…” in my report card when I was in Primary 1. This habit was brought all the way until I finished secondary school. Once in Primary 2, a teacher (I still remember her name!) got fed up and used a blue chalk to draw a moustache above my lips because I was talking in her class!
- Naughty! Another teacher wrote in the report card “Seorang budak yang nakal dan mengganggu rakan-rakan yang lain…” in my report card in Primary 2. I didn’t normally pay any attention in class because I found the lessons boring. So what I did was tearing a tiny piece of paper and rolling them into small balls before flicking them at some classmates and then buat muka selamba (pretended I wasn’t the one doing it)
- Procrastinating! Didn’t finish/do my homework! I was too lazy and thought I could finish them before classes start the next morning. So when the morning came, I would borrow homework from friends who were sitting nearby and copy them as fast as I could. The bonus point was when I was sitting next to the class monitor, so whenever we were to hand in our homework, I’d grab a book randomly from the pile collected by the class monitor and copy the homework with great abandon!
This habit was brought all the way to university
- Going to the toilet for the longest time during the most boring lessons. I would ask for permission to go to the toilet and took the longest time and route there, walking slowly, admiring the plants, floor and roof on my way, unless I bumped into the Principal! Once I almost got caught wandering about the school by the Principal but caught sight of her before she saw me. I got down on my knees and
proposedpretended to tie my shoelace. I escaped unscatched because she didn’t notice that my shoes didn’t have laces! - Love to provoke the prefects and break a few school rules! Always purposely ‘forgot’ to wear my name tag or tie a ribbon around my ponytail. Just as they were about to write my name, I’d casually pull out my name tag from my pocket and pin it on my chest and walked off! During my whole time in school, I’d put a plastic toothpick-like thing (which was banned according to the rules) in my extra ear piercings because we’re only allowed to wear a pair of earrings and I got 2 extra piercings on my right ear. I never got caught, not even when I was a prefect when I had to catch students doing that! LOL!
3 of your favourite subjects. Why?
- Mathematics - easiest subject to score without having to do any revision at all! Serious! I love maths to no end and I’ve always scored 90% and above when I was in primary school and 85% and above in secondary school. Once I almost scored a full mark in Primary 6 because the teacher marked my answer wrongly and gave me 100%. I was so happy that I didn’t want to tell her the mistake. But I did in the end and got only 98%. What I like most about maths is that there is no need to do any readings or memorizing. It’s either you know it or you don’t. This is one of the subjects that I scored A without even trying *haw lian* Hahaha!
- English - easiest to score without trying also. I was technically illiterate in English until Form 5. English was a dead subject and therefore it was so easy to score an A, even being illiterate. In actuality, English should be a lively and interesting subject but it was not until I found the way to make it so. Thanks to Mdm Patricia who taught us to sing “The Wedding Song” in Form 2 and Mdm Geraldine who let us watch My Fair Lady and taught us to sing “The Impossible Dream” by Mitch Leigh in Form 5. Gee, English was fun!
- Recess time - what?! It was in the time table what! When the bell rang for recess, those kiasu students dashed out of the classroom as if they had not seen food for 3 days.
3 subjects that you dislike. Why?
- Pendidikan Moral - Hate the teacher! Got one apek teacher in primary school was being such an ass that I started to hate PM ever since. Plus, I find the subject very useless.
- Sejarah - Hate the facts, dates and boring teachers! I seriously never liked subjects that need memorizing. I only remember that there was an elderly teacher (was it Mr Wong?) in Form 3 who would point to the back of the class and told us that “Jepun di belakang sana!” and some students would turn around and look! Bwahahaha!
- Mathematics - I know! I love Maths and at the same time I hate Maths too! Why? I don’t know! It just got bored after a while and the teachers couldn’t seem to teach fast enough to keep me interested. Heheh!
Interesting about me
- I never and still don’t like Barbie dolls and cuddly soft toys. I won’t go gaga over cute soft teddy bears or wide eyed over Barbie dolls and the likes. I am just not interested.
- I highlighted my hair blue in university. I never got caught but my friends in my hostel loved it. Haha!
- I skipped classes a LOT in university
I used to love…
- Basketball - I used to play basketball in secondary school until those paikia tomboy girls conquered the court all the time. I played in university as well but not seriously.
- Swimming - I used to swim at least twice a week in university when the usage was free. But they shut the pool for a semester for renovation and I had neglected my swimsuit ever since.
- Badminton - I alternated this with swimming. I used to play at least twice a week too. I owned two rackets when I only need one when playing *roll eyes*
PS: Wah, how come all sports?! And since I don’t exercise anymore, I have grown pretty huge love handles! ![]()
I couldn’t live without…
- Books - I love books, storybooks, that is. I’d read in school (when the teachers were not looking), at home, in the toilet, when eating, and before sleeping everynight.
Who did you call before you sleep at night?
- That time no handphone, also no boyfriend. Once in a while I called my best friends just for a chat before going to bed. Sometimes will call up a guy or two I knew that I had a crush on. I went to an all girls’ school (primary and secondary) by the way.
- Then boyfriend - That time got handphone but no credit, so had to use house phone. We chatted almost everynight on the phone despite the fact that we were classmates and we saw each other every day! Angau lah back then!
Hey, this IS fun! Thanks Bongkersz for sharing! I had fun doing this tag. I’m not tagging anyone but just have fun doing it if you feel like it ya ![]()

No lah! I where got naughty *attempt innocent face* I so guai wan yuno
Clare, I still rmmbr that Sejarah teacher, he was very comical. Yeah, he would point to the back of the class and said casually, “Jepun di belakang sana”. Gladys and I would look at each other quizzically before erupting into suppressed fits of giggles. Speaking of which, we always mimicked his robotic-lecturing style. And yeah, I actually turned my head and looked towards where he pointed at before telling Gladys, “he has good bearings, hasnt he, like a compass”.
Gladys sat beside me at class in Form 3. Those were the good old days.
Yalor! I never really paid attention when he was teaching except for the Jepun-belakang-sana part, most of the time I was doing something else, i.e. looked outta window and daydream
or playing some games with Belinda
yes, ingrish is the easiest subject. I used to watch lots of TV to improve my ingrish! but I hate maths probably becoz the teacher so mean like wanna eat us students lidat!
