Cadbury’s Luxury Selection: Pralines
Sep 6th, 2008 by Clare
My best friend, Cheryl, who went to Langkawi for a business trip brought a box of chocolate back for me. Langkawi, being the island of duty free, is paradise for chocoholics, alcoholics and tobacco-holics (there’s no such word but to make it rhymes with the others)
There are 4 different flavours in the box
Namely Milk Chocolate with Hazelnut Cream (purple), Dark Chocolate with Dark Hazelnut Cream (silver), Milk Chocolate with Almond Cream (gold) and Dark Chocolate with Hazelnut Cream (red)
Speaking of chocolate, a question just popped into my mind: Is chocolate an aphrodisiac or merely euphamism?
The secret lies with the cream inside the chocolate ball. Different cream flavour gives you different feeling. This is what I called a real chocolate indulgence!
I love the Milk Chocolate with Almond Cream!
Although chocolate contains chemicals associated with feelings of happiness, love, passion, lust, endurance, stamina, and mood lifting, scientists continue to debate whether it should be classified as an aphrodisiac. The mind is the most potent aphrodisiac there is. Despite scientific difficulty in proving chocolate an aphrodisiac, it does contain substances that increase energy, stamina, and feelings of well being. The reality is that chocolate makes you feel good and induces feelings of being in love. Perhaps the historic euphemism associated with chocolate is what really provokes people to feel it is an aphrodisiac.
Wine to go with chocolate, anyone? ![]()
