Crazy Things I Have Done

For a normal person like me who studied in the government school all my life and never stepped out of the country until I was 20, doing something extraordinary is deemed as crazy because people like me often stick to routine. Anything out of norm to me might be normal for the others, like shaving your head (especially girls), eating a still-beating snake heart, joining a beauty pageant, or baring your naked ass for the world to see.
Only until I was in the university then I realized that I have not done something out of my league. Therefore, during my first year, I joined the university English Language Debate Society as a debater though I know nuts on debate. When I said joined, I mean, registering my name. That’s about it. I chickened out whenever I was asked to go for a debate tournament. I have always wanted the experience of standing in front of people and presenting a point as if it is the fact of the century, with a straight face. I was too kiasi to do anything more than putting my name in.
It was also during the first year in university that I took up the courage to register myself for a National Public Speaking Competition.
I went all the way to KDU in Penang just to participate in this competition. And from there, one thing leads to another (not the way you are thinking) and I got my picture (my name and state of origin were also) published in The Star! I even saved the newpaper cutting to show off to my grandchildren 
Well, even though I didn’t make it even to the Semi Final round, the experience that I got from the competition was priceless and it was worth more than any money could buy!
That was the first crazy thing that I did. But the second one happened not long after that. I gathered my scattered guts and wrote a lengthy e-mail to The Star to show my pissed-off-ness to my university system. It was published under ‘Education’! On my birthday! That’s the best birthday present ever! (I think I have it somewhere in my old post)
The third crazy thing was crossing over to Thailand. Since my university is only 15 minutes drive from the Bukit Kayu Hitam Malaysia-Thailand border, why not?
Crazy thing #4: Watched Tiger Show (Sex Show) in Thailand. (But I got traumatized by it)
Crazy thing #5: Eating bugs in Thailand
Crazy thing #6: Going to Langkawi with a bunch of friends for a weekend getaway and got really drunk for the first time. Sorry to burst your bubble but nothing sexual happened :P Hello! Alcohol is cheaper than water in Langkawi hor, so shut up!

Crazy thing #7: Taking a graduation bear hostage
Crazy thing #8: Joined a basketball tournament in university. Was the team manager as well. I wore a Number 3
MISC was the name of my residential college. I picked Number 3 because my favourite player for the college’s male team also wore a Number 3 and he is my good friend.
Crazy thing #9: Bought a car
Nah, I’m kidding! 
Unless I marry a really rich guy.

Man i’m sure you’ve done much crazier stuff not listed there. who knows right? :p i’ve done some pretty mad stuff not many know and perhaps never will. but i must say that one of them was chasing after 2 french robbers on my own and only stop because i slipped on a patch of ice…anyway good luck for your job hunting if u were hunting at all.
