Kuching: Red Bean Cendol
Jun 30th, 2008 by Clare
Boon Khai Rojak & Cold Drinks Centre is THE place to go for cool and refreshing ang dao chang loot (Red Bean Cendol) on a hot sunny afternoon. This shop is located at Rubber Road or something like that, near Thompson Corner. Right opposite the shop is the police headquarter buildings.
I went there again recently.
You can opt for milk or santan (coconut milk) to go with your ang dao chang loot. I normally order coconut milk because I find it to be more fragrant and blends pretty well with the gula melaka (locally known as gula atap) that comes together in the cendol.
It is pretty pointless just to come here and drink the red bean cendol.
You can order finger food like cucur udang, yeu char kuey, fish balls, etc. You can even mix them all
Called Campur - cucur udang + yam + cannot remember what
That was for tea. And dinner was two hours later! LOL
Apart from eating and drinking, I entertained myself with all the flyers on the wall of this shop
Notice on the top right corner reads
Green notice on the bottom left corner reads

You’ve always love that kind of food don’t you?!
I know that place! It’s the one below Palm Court. That’s what the place is called. I know coz a friend of mine works up there (well, not technically, his dad owns the business).
You want those fried stuff, you must go to Peterson!!! Next to Satok Market…where they sell fruits etc. The hay pia (cucur udang)…no one can beat, I tell you!!! I posted on that once! Even Old Rex tauhu (Nanas Road) that some people like, not as good!
I’ve never been there =.=
And you are in Kuching all your life!
I can be a waiteress
Yay! Hahahahahaha!!!
No way Wuching! That job has my name on it.
Okay, both of you are hired as WAITERESS
LOL
A nice place to eat. My friend’s father own that shop and now the shop belongs to his brother. They will open another shop in Premier 101 on September. Those who lives near there can go there try. =P
