Selamat Hari Gawai
May 31st, 2008 by Clare
It’s a long weekend for Sarawakians with Monday and Tuesday as public holidays for the coming Gawai Celebration tomorrow.
Every 1st of June, the Dayaks in Sarawak will be celebrating this special occasion with free booze, free food, free dancing the whole night long. Clubbing is nothing compared to this (you still have to pay for the entrance fee when you go clubbing).
I want to wish Elaine Patrick, Anne Seri Juan and family, and Michelle Hildalyne Jering, Ronnie (my Form6 ex-classmate), and Archibald (kesian he cannot come back and celebrate) a Happy Gawai! Oh, not forgetting Elaine’s brothers Gilbert (Welcome back!) and Gabriel, whom I chatted with on MSN regularly. Happy Gawai to you two! Anyone I left out? Must be a lot wan. Not good memory. But you are included yeah!
Selamat Hari Gawai and Happy Holiday! ![]()
