Tien Pien Hu For Lunch and Wa Si Legend
Dec 21st, 2007 by Clare
An SMS came at 11 something in the morning telling me that a friend who had moved to Kota Kinabalu but is studying in Sydney is in Sibu right now, right here! It was from Clement. *points* Neh, the blogger who got very very famous for the wrong reason wan…
So I asked him to come and fetch me to meet up with that friend of ours. It was raining in the afternoon. Anne asked Clement to fetch her at the Sanyan buiding. We then went to the old bus station in town, entered this shop:
And ordered this each:
The all time famous tien pien hu. The shop has been there for God-knows-how-long. It was already there when my dad was a kid. The current cook is the second generation to inherit the tien pien hu empire. Tien pien hu from this shop remains the best with its traditional way of rice grinding and home made fishball.
After burping a tank full, we went to the Star Cineplex to watch

Wa Si Legend
Met up with another two friends, Gladys and Suk Lu, who thought we were watching National Treasure all the while until they saw Will Smith! Bwahahahaha!!! Anne and me were being punched blue black on the arm by the two ‘cheated’ ones.
Wa Si I Am Legend is a good movie, or so I thought, until Will Smith’s character Robert Neville died! Ooopppsss! *ducking banana skins and eggs thrown* The ending is the major let down. I don’t like.
Well, anyway, we headed to Sanyan for our drinking (yum cha/lim teh) session at the Oasis. There, we made an impromptu plan to meet up that night for another round of drinking and crapping session.
After the movie.
L-R: Gladys, yours truly and (soon-to-be-Dr) Anne
