Martin luther King also had to endure a lot of humiliation before having his voice heard. Gandhi too was laughed at for being a nut but his name lives longer in history than any other coward who sits behind his desk and takes potshots at the world. If you really understand what democracy means it is the right to make a clear and informed decision in your life. Freedom comes at a cost because it is always curbed by auhthorities even in democracies. Morover in a democracy evrybody is equal and there are no second class citizens. In this bloody democracy we have what you call a caste sytem where bumiputras are the higher caste and get all the benefits while the rest have to fight for scraps. Malaysia Boleh only in the little minds of idiots. Yes this government should be afraid of the people. But actually they are afraid that the people can find a way to "revamp" the election commission. We just hope that this over-used cliche is still true, and the election next year bears the result. We can only hope and fight the best we can, so lets not be cynics and give up too soon.
