My (not only) 20 friends
Aug 7th, 2007 by Clare
Asking me to write about 20 of my friends is a bit bias, don’t you think? I have more than 20 friends, mind you! And whoever came up with this tag did not even specify what type of friends - Real life friends? Blogging friends (friends you got to know personally through blogging)? Virtual friends (you know them through blogging or online but have never met them yet)? Imaginary friends? - which means I can talk about any 20 friends that ran across my mind while I am typing this. Jam tagged me with his sticky shit because he thought I am brave (Yeah, for the wrong reason! Haha! :P)
Real Life Friends
Friends who have been with me through thick and thin. Friends who had been through cane and punishments in school together. Friends who had been forgotten but somewhere deep in my heart, you are still there. Friends I know since a tender age of 6 going on 7.
- Cheryl Lim

I think I have blogged about her in Kampua Talk. I don’t think I have to elaborate it here because you can read all about it HERE! - Elaine Patrick
Oh, I am going to blog about her soon, so no description here. - Belinda Lau
I am also going to blog a post about her as well, so no description here either.
Blogging Friends
Friends I know through blogging. Friends I first known through blogging but did not meet but fate brought us to meet up and we’ve been friends ever since. Bloggers are not what we thought they are from the way they blog. The impression that we had on them would be deadly wrong once you’ve met the blogger in person, in most cases. A lot of bloggers used their blogs as a mean to express their inner feelings and frustrations that they couldn’t express in real life. People who assumed the image of the blogger through his/her blog are simply pathetic. Don’t believe a word I said because bloggers are goblok anyway! *smirks*
- Alvin Chong
He was the FIRST blogger that I met. He was the one who sent me roses and chocolates all the way from KL.
You can actually find the posts somewhere around this blog. - Lilian Chan
She was supposed to be the FIRST blogger that I met but couldn’t met due to unforseen circumstances. But I eventually met her during the Together Gather Party in KL in March.Lilian (I used to call her Auntie, not in this post though) is one of theunemployedhousewifeliarwell-known pro-blogger in Malaysia.
With her laser tonguefingers, she could rock the blogosphere. I like the way she shoots at a lot of deserving people from all corners, straight to the point with hints of sarcasms that are surely going to make that person wet his/her pants! Don’t play play with this obnoxious blogger, if you don’t like what she blogged, go play far far or else get screwed upside down! - Nicole Tan
I first met this gorgeous lady for dinner at Jogoya, introduced by Alvin. The rest, they say, are HISTORY.We have been hanging out quite often ever since - movies, drinks, countless dinners, etc. Would love to travel with her some time. She is a friendly girl, if you have met her in person. She’s an extreme chocoholic, meaning she cannot live without chocolate for an hour. 0.o!!! Her blog is as popular as her. Heard of Nicolekiss before? People being jealous of her look, life, travel, friends etc have been leaving hate comments in every of her post, without fail! Pathetic…Hahaha!!!
She’s currently stressed from job & study at the same time. So go visit her blog and give her
chocolatesupport now. This is one heck of a girl that you must meet and get to know if you have the chance. - Timothy Tiah
I first met him during the Together Gather Party in March. The feature that I remembered most about him is thehumongousmole on his upper lips when I asked for his autograph at the back of the Nuffnang bookmark.I met Timothy again during the Pirates of the Carribean screening sponsored by Nuffnang and Exabytes. Despite being the BIG BOSS of the highly potential company, Timothy is one heck of a humble guy! So humble can die! - Kenny Ng
I also met him at the Together Gather Party and I remember talking to him that night regarding the image readers assumed on a blogger. For example, a lot of people thought that Wingz really looks like the Pak Leung Kam picture he put on his blog. Met him again at the screening of the Pirates of the Carribean 3. I was disappointed when he did not dress up as a pirate! Haha! Too bad, did not have the chance to take pictures with him yet. - Ringo
Just had the opportunity to meet her the other day. We went for dinner and movie that night, together with Alvin, Nicole and Gerald. Ringo, commonly known as Cheesie, looks different from the pictures in her blog. She is a charming young lady. Many would agree with me that she is cute if you have met her in person. Her collection of costumes would put Paris Hilton to shame! - Gerald
Met this tall, lanky guy on the same night I was introduced to Nicole. Despite his skinny feature, Gerald can really eat! He eats a LOT! Even someone with four stomachs could not finish the 30 packets of fries, never mind us! - Practically everyone who attended the Bloggers’ Together Gather party earlier this year are considered my blogging friends, though I might not know them personally:
Virtual Friends
- Monkey Wong
My partner-in-crime. What crime? Whatever crime you can think of - from spreading blogivitis virus to [fill in the blank yourself]. I have his MSN and he used to be my favourite victim of boredom as I would frequentlyabusednudged him whenever I saw him online. He is a fellow Sibu blogger who worked like a dog under his company dog (Haha!), can draw hilarious cartoons that illustrate our daily lives from back in the school days to current working environment. Will definitely meet up with him when I go back to Sibu soon.
- Wuching
Another partner-in-crime in the blogosphere whobetrayed Sibu bloggers and run away tois now in Australia. He is also a frquent victim of mine whom Iabusedkacaunudged each time I saw him online in MSN. A Star Wars fanatic who loves to collect Star Wars figurines (now you know what to get him on his birthday! :D) - WongPK
Also a fellow Sibu blogger who travels a lot. He’s got fruit trees around his house compound (I would love to try some when I get back, can?) Oh, forget it if you have the intention to steal from his fruit trees like how you always did when you were young, he’ll release his dogs and wisest thing to do at that instant is RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! - Jam
The more-handsome-than-me (as described by Monkey Wong) guy whom I suspect is Monkey’s colleague who loves Transformers to the extent of putting Optimus Prime on his blog banner. By the way, I can let you play with my Transformers when I get back to Sibu. Monkey Wong already booked. LOL!!! - CY
A Penang guy who frequented Kampua Talk every now and then. Never had the chance to meet him yet. But I know that he plays the guitar and he composes nice songs! Would love to meet him some day.
All of the above
- Anne Seri Juan
Anne and family have been our family friend since eons ago. Anne was my classmate since Primary Five till Form Five. She is now in Australia, taking up medicine under a scholarship. A smart girl, she is. *toast* To our future Dr. Anne! Will blog about her as well, no further description here. - Clement Wong
Have known this fat guy since young in Sunday schools. He is the most famous kid in church. Priests know him, parents know him, kids feared him (LOL!
) A future heir to the throne of his father’s empire in Sibu. Most of the electrical goods in my house were bought from his father’s shop. By the way, my parents know his parents and vice versa…I never known that until I saw them talking when his parents first sent him off to KK at the airport.
I have never taken a picture with him even though we had unlimited chances, I don’t know why. Will do that when I see you, Clement!
- Foo Kiat
He’s been my buddy as well as coursemate in UUM. A smart guy nonetheless! Maybe all his wisdom and intelligence come from all the sinfully porky food that he consumed.
We’ve been through thick and thin of being confined in a university so rural where good food are scarce and clean water supply is almost nil (our white clothes would turn yellow after several washings). Living with monkeys (real monkeys!) is as common as being surrounded by jungle.
All the best to you, Foo Kiat, in your future undertakings! We are graduating!!!
I do not want to tag anyone with this tag because I have fun doing it - digging up old pictures, thinking of descriptions about people, known that person for too long until no words could describe him/her, you name it! People I’ve mentioned above (or not), you can do this tag if you want to, no forcing, just have fun!
