Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Sidenote:
My brother did not get into any local university even after he made an appeal…

I admit that I am a fan of Harry Potter novel but not to the extreme level that I go and wait outside the bookstore as early as 5am so that I can get the book at 7.01am ala McDonald’s Hello Kitty craze a few years back.
As a cheapskate, I’d rather wait for the price, RM109.90 to drop 50% before purchasing the book. As much as I love reading, I would not purchase anything above RM100. So kiamsiap can die lah! Come to think of it, I am the only one in my family that have the passion for reading. My brother does not reading anything apart from comics while my parents read newspapers and Christianity book like Why Do Christians Fall Sick?, 30 Minutes in Heaven, etc and will not touch anything controversial out of the norm such as Da Vinci Code or watch Brokeback Mountain. 0.o!!!
Back to Harry Potter, I started reading from its fourth book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which I managed to borrow from Sibu Public Library. I purchased Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at 20% dicounted from RM69.90 (so cheapskate can die!) As J.K. Rowling disclosed, in the seventh and final book of Harry Potter, two major characters will die. This statement alone sparks debates around the globe. Forums have been established for the purpose.
I mean, a healthy exchage of views and opinions is something that should be applauded. Somehow somewhat there would be smart alecs lurking at dark corners, waiting to pounce on their victims with their smart alec-y comments. That will be a topic for some other time.
A book on the prediction (which I forgot the title) of the seventh book was seen all over bookstores. People just can’t wait, can they? Or rather, people just love to talk a lot, don’t they? Making big bucks out of other people’s success like those who wrote The Code of Da Vinci Code, The Secret Behind Da Vinci Code, etc.
On that piece of news I found in The Star, I was amazed. That is a good example of SHIT HAPPENS scenario. The most disappointed of all will be the consumer a.k.a. die-hard-fans of Harry Potter who have waited so long to get their hands on the book. Of course they pre-ordered the book but how about those who did not? I know, that’s their problem, but some people would rather wait for special promotions by bookstores, such as the Borders, on the date of release.
I, on the other hand, will do nothing sit back, relax and enjoy the show of Harry Potter craze until the price of the book has dropped to 50% its original price. Now, can someone pass me the popcorn?

these days i cannot read, if i pick up a book i’ll fall asleep by page 2!
If text book then I’ll fall asleep after the second sentence…LOL!
